Manning to Join Staff of K-State Research and Extension River Valley District
Leslie Manning will join the staff of the K-State Research and Extension River Valley District as a 4-H youth development and community development agent, effective February 23, 2013.
Manning, who worked previously as a family and consumer sciences teacher and FCCLA advisor in Lawrence, Wichita, and Salina earned a bachelor’s degree in human ecology education from K-State. She is an active member of the Assaria PRIDE Committee.
Manning’s 4-H youth development responsibilities will be to provide educational programming relative to building life skills in children and teens, including a positive self-concept, an inquiring mind, a concern for the community, healthy interpersonal relationships and sound decision making. The community development responsibilities are to provide leadership in the development and implementation of educational programming to support successful and sustainable communities.
